CSO MUSTC
The MUSTC Offshore Training Center (OTC) is a cutting-edge facility where dedicated courses and training are provided for students and staff of the Maritime University of Szczecin and other universities, members of services related to health and life saving (SAR, water rescue teams, Fire Service) and professionals of the rapidly growing offshore industry.


The OTC consists of more than a dozen major installations and devices including:
- 4-meter-deep training pool with a storm condition simulator: a wave generator, a set of low and high-pitched speakers, strobe lights and water fans
- heavy fog generator for creating lack of visibility conditions
- rescue boat equipped with capsize recovery system powered by compressed air
- rafts and lifeboat
- steel platforms with escape sleeve used for offshore wind turbine emergency procedure training
- custom-designed platform for work-at-height training in accordance with the GWO standard
- dedicated davit along with a submersible helicopter cabin for HUET training
The facility also has two lecture rooms with multimedia boards and audio communication systems. Additional equipment incl. phantoms, rescue bags, and orthopaedic boards allow for the delivery of high-quality safety, rescue and life-saving courses. OTC provides the following courses and training:
- GWO Sea Survival
- GWO Working at Height
- GWO i STCW First Aid
- GWO Manual Handling
- STCW ITR
- STCW courses (partially): Lifeguard, Senior Lifeguard and others.
The OTC will also be the venue for classes of a new course being implemented at Pomeranian Medical University in cooperation with the Maritime University of Szczecin - Medical Rescue with Maritime and Offshore Safety.
