The Maritime University of Szczecin implements a comprehensive investment program as part of the long-term project "Construction of the Polish Maritime Rescue Training Centre”. expected completion date - 2025.

The main goal of the project is to create excellent conditions for the effective training of highly qualified personnel for the maritime, transportation, search and rescue, marine, and geodesy sectors, and to achieve European standards of practical education quality within the Polish maritime education at the university level.

The project will result in modern facilities (3 buildings and new waterfronts) for research and training units with modern infrastructure and innovative specialized equipment. The facilities will serve as a base for the application of state-of-the-art research methods. This will significantly increase the level of innovative research and training in the process of maritime education at all levels of competence.

Advanced experimental activities will be conducted at the site and in adjacent waters to acquire expertise that will be directly applicable to the development of new and improved existing products, processes and services.

Combined with the already existing in the immediate vicinity - Centre for Operation of Floating Objects - the Polish Maritime Rescue Training Centre complex will become a unique research and development facility for the Maritime University of Szczecin
